You should expect mild swelling and irritation around the treatment area. This is normal and, in most cases, will go away in twenty-four hours. You should avoid sweat, chlorine, and skin care products for twenty-four after your procedure; just take the day off and try not to touch the treated area with your fingers, as this can prolong irritation and even transfer the bacteria from your fingers onto sensitive skin, which can lead to infection.
After that twenty-four-hour period, you can start resuming your daily activities and using your normal skincare products unless otherwise directed by our technician at the time of your treatment. However, you should plan on avoid the sun for two weeks after laser hair removal.
