How to Prepare for Laser Hair Removal
When you schedule your appointment, it is important to let the staff know if you are using antibiotics or any specific skin care treatments. If you are using Accutane, or have used Accutane in the past six months, notify us when we book your appointment.
For five weeks before your appointment, you’ll want to avoid depilation creams, waxing, plucking, and skin lightening treatments. It does, however, help to shave the treatment area prior to laser hair removal. If you have questions or are unsure of how to shave your upper lip, our staff is happy to help and can even to the shaving part for you.
After Your Appointment
It’s normal for your lips, and the area around your lips, to be a little red for several hours after your laser hair removal appointment. You will want to keep the treated area cool, dry, and away from makeup and chemicals for at least twenty-four hours. In addition, you’ll want to stay out of the sun for at least two weeks after treatment.
